Back Links Make Money Online
This is going to be short, brief and to the point. The niche support page is actually working – who would have thought!
If you haven’t dropped by lately please do – and read the comments as feedback is starting to come in now.
There are 98 people exchanging links using how many hundreds of blogs and all the links are white hat and more importantly “anchored” for the right keywords. And all for free…
So – let’s get the word out and get more people to the page. More people – more link partners. More links – better serp rankings. Better rankings – more traffic. More traffic – more money!
Help me, help you, help yourselves. Send people to the niche support page and encourage them to join up – this is working really well and the bigger the pool the better it will be for all of us.
In a related matter please read RT’s guest post regarding his new site connectcontent.com over at my beginners blog.
Thanks folks – and if you haven’t added yourself to the list please do – it works and it costs you nothing. It is a true win-win for all.
- end of hype!
Cheers
Griz
btw – we have had one spammer/scammer slip into the group – he’s been removed – but please let me know if you run into any unsavory characters in your dealings.
Update for your entertainment pleasure
I made the mistake of following a link back to a noob forum the other day and in spite of the voice in the back of my head I just couldn’t help reading the thread… Like an idiot I decided to add my two cents and yup – a swarm of dumb ass noobs seemed to take offense at some of my comments (what me ?)… hehe
If any of you catch me doing this again please shoot me…
Enjoy…

Pretty interesting discussion you started there
By the way, regarding the niche support page, are you still adding/accepting new people into the list?
Hi Rajaie,
We are taking anyone who is interested in joining. Please do.
Grizz, ha thats great. I haven’t been to the niche support in a long while I will def. hit that up again. Thanks for all of your generosity.
No problem Josh – definitely use the list. It works.
Thanks for the link to the BlogCatalog thread. Made me laugh.
And yet at the same time, it was kind of sad. But I’m glad for the Thread Starter (TS).
Also, that Rebased fellow seems like a genuinely nice person.
Daniel,
Rebased is a hell of a nice guy and the silver lining as I got to meet him. Lives in Holland and sent me a couple of great emails behind the scenes.
TS ? Who knew? Lol
Yes Grizz the niche page is really great. I could see it growing into a really cool system with feedback ratings, category searches etc. i don’t have time to build that so maybe you could hire someone
Oh sure Dan – you code monkeys always gotta bugger up a perfectly simple email exchange that any moron (me)
can handle! Lol.
(I’m sure someone will offer if it gets to big to handle)
Wow Grizz – you sure kicked over the beehive on that one, didn’t you? As someone who’s also new to SEO, I completely understand the noob’s questions. From experience in other noob forums, I know it can be hard to find good answers. Each person knows less than the next. Otherwise they wouldn’t be hanging out in noob forums…
The problem is that the guy was looking for easy answers in an area where it takes work, not quick fixes.
Ah well, you tried. They’re still arguing the content vs links debate over there.
Frankie – I like to leave an impression
The poor TS is not likely to ever ask a question again – he’ll be more confused now than going in. Oh well it was a bit of fun… (cue the sinister laughter)
I’ve used the niche site effectively. I also want to thank RT for his work. I’m solidly (I think) on page two of G now for a competitive key word and still working on getting on page one.
Thanks for the entertainment. Who looks up “Scott Baio’s penis”? Scott Baio? Pamela Anderson?
Ben,
I just cleaned off the spit coffee from my keyboard – thanks for that. lol.
Good job on the keyword and thanks for the link on your music forum last week – some interesting people over there. As a horrible guitar player I felt somewhat humbled amongst your peers.
Glad you stopped by and thanks for the laugh.
Yeah you definitely opened up a nice discussion there. I was going to chime in to defend you and tell them they don’t have a clue. However, I used all the restraint I could and just stayed out of it.
Trent,
Good move – last I checked they had a full frothing of the mouth thing going on… you might have got bit!
You’re welcome Griz. A lot of those people have blogs that aren’t key word optimised and I hope that they start reading you if for nothing else to build a readership. There is a subculture of musicians and songwriters who are starving. We do have a few famous people there who remain anonymous but most of us use our real names.
Ben, I got the impression that a few “players” hung out there. Needless to say they all put me to shame and it’s a pretty cool place for you to promote your stuff and rub shoulders – and that’s a large membership – had me wondering how I would monetize it. lol (always thinking of an angle…)
Just had a good laugh while reading that thread on blogcatalog
Thanks for the post/link Grizz!
Going to register in the Niche Support list now
Reciprocal help online aka building anchored links – makes money online
Ion
Ion, Glad I could provide a laugh…
Thanks for joining in on the list – the more the merrier!
LOL Griz,
Like you said in your final comment, you “had to open your big mouth and bam a troll” Bwahahahaa!!
Grizz, I think the whole bunch of us has been brainwashed by you and vic to think and see things in a totally different wavelength. The group over at THAT forum, and all others that are not part of our “cult” for that matter, is still convinced that the conventional way works best. So I think there is no point arguing with them. They pray to John Chow. LMAO!
BTW, I’m still in the spam bin.
Tried to un-spam myself by commenting on my own blogs and approving myself. That’s what I have been told to do, but no joy. LOL. But what the heck, I don’t comment much these days.
Hi Costa,
Yup – akismet definitely doesn’t like you!
You are right about the social crowd – no point in arguing. When I really think about it – the last thing we want is people “catching on”. The competition for serp ranking is so low these days compared to a few years ago that my life is much easier – the only downside is that the competition that does exist is so much more refined than it used to be. Less people but far more knowledgeable. Oh well – let the chow wannabees thrash and moan… they provide a little entertainment once in a while.
Great to hear from you Costa. Hope all is well aside from your comment purgatory.

wow, that was a spirited debate in that forum, Grizz. LOL.
Egads, I can’t believe I read the whole thing. THAT is precisely the reason I stopped visiting BC. No matter how constructive you try to be, someone will want to duke it out.
[...] [...]
Grizz, better steer clear of BC. There’s one particular person on that thread that is a reaaaallll nitpicker and could be one of those individuals that Terry really detests in this IM world, if you know who and what I mean. And I’m sure there’re a lot more over there.
Roger, RT and Tan
Hey Guys – an interesting bunch to say the least… Lol
It is a good reminder that the competition out there isn’t quite as competent as many think when they set out to take on a niche. Almost everyone is playing the social media game and the serp rankings are waiting to be dominated. Have you noticed that the social A-Listers in most niches “don’t” hold the top serp rankings?
I responded to an email question earlier. The person questioning did not realize that not only do we have to ability to push someone up in the SERPS, we also have the ability to take the top positions away from those who don’t deserve to be there.
Imagine if a group of people with authority blogs decided to target one specific group of keywords for a week (2 or 3 posts each). It could decimate someone. Such is the power of search domination over social rankings.
yes
imagine….
Just read your little discussion over on BlogCatalog…wow. I guess they know it all.
All I can say is that between you, Court, and Vic I have learned a lot and I am making money. The proof is in the pudding. Keep up the good work, we appreciate your knowledge even if others don’t.
Thanks Larry and glad to hear your making some coin.
yes you guys are awsome
Yes and no-follow too. Btw – I couldn’t help but notice a strange resemblance between an article on your site and one on mine…
yours
http://massmoneyonline.blogspot.com/2008/12/common-mistake-beginners-make-is-adding_11.html
mine
http://makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com/2008/12/knowing-when-to-add-adsense-to-your.html
hmmmm…
Jesus Grizz… he didn’t even TRY to spin your article and put it in his own words. I mean he copied word for word your article!!!
What a maroon.
oh, wow….
Great ‘discussion’ over at blogcatalog :p I have been experimenting with serps the last few weeks and it is a great traffic driver if done right.
No I just have to up the ante and go for ‘difficult’ terms…after I start ranking no.1 for my/my sites name ofc :p
Donace – you rank 3rd for “thenexus” in my data center. You can probably start targeting those “difficult” terms now…
I enjoyed your site btw.
wow, he just lifted your whole post including- dinesh outranked me. LOL.
Totally lazy bum.
I had to LMFAO!!
That Madam X is the same arrogant busybody that slagged off Vic several months ago about his infamous email to BloggingZoom members. She really tore into him in that crappy BC forum along with her equally nasty minions. I made the fatal mistake of joining the fray to support Vic and they all rounded on me!
Since then I’ve stayed well away from BC. That nasty little clique are thoroughly detestable.
Griz you shouldn’t have gone there. Let them stew in their own juices because some people just can’t be reasoned with.
¡Coño!
Terry,
Just about every forum I have ever been on (yours excepted of course) has at least 1 no-nothing big mouth that just has to give their worthless opinion on every subject mentioned. Always the same personality type – insecure and begging for someone to re-affirm their worth. “please, please somebody tell me I’m special so I don’t have to keep telling everyone else I’m special” – they are pretty sad people. It is kinda fun to get them all in a tizzy and then simply ignore them – mean maybe – but it sure gets them riled up.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I have to say that I came away from there on the point of adding some choice words of my own to the thread, but managed to stop myself in the nick of time (same as Trent). I doubt I’d have stood a chance in hell against that puta. She can be relentless when she gets her claws out
yeah be careful her types might just be the ones that go around filling up forms to G…. self righteous know it alls….
That wouldn’t surprise me in the least!
LOL I remember Madame X …
She reminds me of the knight at the bridge in The Holy Grail. Cut of one arm, then two, then both legs, then you still have a stumpy torso challenging you to fight as you walk away
That sinister laugh makes me think there is some future mischief afoot, Griz?
BTW, thanks for all the free help!
Tim,
Too funny – loved the Holy Grail and that’s a good comparison.
Mischief afoot… naaaaaaw – not me.
I’m still 4th in my datacentre for ‘thenexus’:p (though third for my name).
Just thinking of what terms I should ‘try’ and rank for so far I have ‘nexus’ which has 21,700,000 results so should be interesting.
Thanks for dropping by and complimenting.
Speaking of lower order reptiles like madam x – check out this link…
http://mikemintsit.com/mike.html
Looks kinda familiar…
lol check he link at
‘Remember that 100 or so links like these are what puts my new money making blog so high in the rankings’
it still points to your site :p
What a piece of work! Some people have no shame. Hey, I have an off topic question for the group at large. When you end up in the big G’s sandbox…is it your entire site, or just for the keywords they think you are targeting?
Hey…one more question for you veterans. Have any of you had success using BANS (Build A Niche Store)?
Larry G,
It’s usually the whole site but I know why you are asking – I have been sandboxed for all my main keywords and yet had the odd visitor for some really obscure long tails. Not really sure how that happens.
I haven’t worked with Bans myself.
Hi Grizz,
What the F**K !!! I check the “mikemintsit.com/mike.html” and its a 100% SPLOG of your makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com
Even the comments are a copy of yours …?
Is there a redirect of some kind to your “uggly blog”??
I just looked and it is identical – right down to the adsense! I wonder if they get clicked Griz make the cash? If so WTF is the point of creating the page?
Terry – it’s not on my allowed list so no clicks – just as well or it would screw my account up. I suppose the guy thinks it will rank well coming from my site… nope but don’t tell him that.
That’s interesting. If its not your adsense account then who’s is it? Its triggering the same ads. I guess if the guy could get SE traffic to it he’d make money on the high ranking ads. Maybe that’s what he’s thinking…
Terry – those are my ads on his page – he just copy/pasted my source code on his site. Like this page on the new MMO blog, I have the ads showing but not recording clicks as I only have the MMO for Beginners blog “allowed” in my adsense acct. This stops people from stealing your adsense code (like he did) and then clicking the crap out of them on their own site – only clicks on URL’s that you designate on the “allowed” list are tracked by G. Google keeps track of all the un-authorized sites using your ad code – about 35 thieves the last time I looked. Not smart if they ever want to use adsense themselves as G has a list of URL’s that steal code…
What his thinking is – who knows…
So Grizz, they do that to sabotage others’ a/cs?
Tan – some may do it for that reason which is why G has the “allowed sites” toggle in the first place. It allows you to designate the sites that will be counted and dis-allows anyone else from stealing your code for malicious purposes.
All I can say is what a dick brain! If you’re going to scrape a site, at least be intelligent about it and only scrape the content. Then wrap it in something different and put your own affiliate ads in – you might get some instant gratification from other SEs who are not so hot on the duplicate content thing.
Or maybe you’ll just get found out and ridiculed to crap in someone’s blog LMAO
!!!
@ Terry Didcott
Haha. I, Dick Brain, can scrap a site me …
If there whas somme brain on that dick head, “it” only scraped content and change a few things here and there, not all things, including adsense code … what a timewasting guy/girl.
The niche support page is working great! Thanks Grizz!
Hey Grizz, that was an interesting read over at BC. WTF with that guy at mikemintsit copying everything!? Funny about how it shows up in source code too.
Also, I think the comments on his main site are a little strange, not sure if he’s added them himself, although I could be wrong.
Nick,
I hope he enjoys all this attention – the most he will ever get I suspect.
The niche support page is working great! I have allready managed to exchange links with several others with no problems at all.
I am/was new to BC and only wanted to point the guy in the right direction, but never again.. i felt like an idiot posting there.
I was rolling on the floor though when they compared my 4 weeks old blog to that other guys blog in that topic
Anyway, no more BC for me!
Rebased,
I’m glad the niche support page is paying dividends for everyone. Tell all your friends!
BC is a huge time sink – no more for me either.
Grizz,
To quote you on your local niche support page.
“If the linking site is not of suitable quality just be polite and decline the exchange.” Can you define this statement.
What would you say “no thanks to”( as far as exchanging links)?
For instance, one of my sites basically has content and some links. I have not put a blogroll or anything of the such. I have not even put Adsense on it yet.
BTW, I have exchanged a link before using your site and it finally showed up. I wrote the post for their site with my link(keyword) in the post and sent it to them.
Thanks,
Dennis
Dennis,
If the site is pure spam, a bad neighborhood site or it just isn’t suitably related to yours would be 3 reasons not to link to it.
I love how Kevin says search traffic has the highest bounce rate. That’s because he’s ranking for completely irrelevant terms. If he ranked for Comedy Blog then search traffic wouldn’t bounce. He’s not only an idiot, but I have it on good word from one of my authors that he’s also a major c0cknozzle that really doesn’t give a sh1t about his readers.
Fiar,
He doesn’t have a clue – just as well as it means less competition for those of you who are chasing the Humour (international spelling
) niche.
I can see emoticons all over your posts even in comments section, does it have any effect on SEO?
MMO,
Nope
Has no effect…
What so ever!
*Sigh* Geez Griz, when will you ever learn?
I especially liked Dane Morgan’s quote of “SEO is about conversions, not traffic” I wonder how he converts non-traffic?
A real winner there!
Don
Don number 1,
Ha… making money is about conversions. Seo is about getting the traffic in order to convert it. As long as these geniuses keep spouting nonsense I will keep dominating the serp’s. They are entertaining though… Lol.
Hey Griz, thanks for the Niche Support page. There’s some really good people there!
Don
Don number 2,
You are welcome and help spread the word.
Thanks for this cool niche page, keep up the great work grizz..btw i now see that your site is NO1 in big G for some keywords, coool.
Make Money,
Hmmmmm…. I wonder how that happened…
Hi Griz!
I have a blog on Bloger and one on wordpress (ver 2.7). I am just starting and am in the process of reading your training manuals. I noticed your wordpress blog is outperforming(siteanalytics.compete.com) your bloger blog. I want to follow your instructions for learning. Is the best way to do that to use my bloger blog first (so I can follow your instructions precisely) and then switch to the WordPress blog after I learn the ropes? Which is the better platform for the long pull on your opinion?
Thanks
John
John,
Don’t pay any attention to Compete or Alexa for that matter – these traffic ranking programs are terrible and not even remotely accurate. The beginners blog has 10-15 times more traffic than this new blog and yet ranks poorer in the traffic stats given by Compete and Alexa. Why – because no one has search traffic built into their algorithms – just social traffic.
Either platform will work fine – I like blogger simply because it is free and I can slap up dozens of test sites without spending any money. This can get expensive if paying for hosting and domains. WordPress is fine but you may not want to get carried away with test sites.
Thanks Griz
That’s a big help. I never would have guessed to second guess Compete and Alexa. Your exchange on the other forum was fascinating. A few of those individuals are reminiscent of the “know it all” characters in the government that got us in this financial mess. I hope Obama is able to at least keep the boat upright. O that’s right you are Canadian, perhaps you nornerers are going to escape the financial trauma of it all. My house will probably loose 1/2 it’s value here in California before it is all over.
John
Besides getting information from your posts, I do find lots of gem among your replies in the comments for both of your MMO sites.
Hi, Griz
I guess my site is still in the sandbox. As I mailed earlier, it was on G’s page 1 for a lower ranking search, and I made some dumb changes on it. No where to be found on the G search for over a month. Still shows up once in a while on secondary searches, but not for primary keywords.
Good time to write and get links while I’m waiting.
Thanks for the free college course.
Don R.
I think you should take some time and learn a little bit from vic. (Not SEO, the cursing part, because it’s amusing lol)
http://mikemintsit.com/mike.html <– this guy is a big time scammer, not only he is scraping your blog but he also sells some shit ebooks to desperate people trying to earn some cash to pay their bills. How pathetic!
lol…lol. Seems like quite the discussion. You made a lot of people “smile” Griz. lol lol
Good backlinks can definitely boost search engine rankings a lot and any serious SEO campaign has to include building lots of relevant and quality backlinks.
Nice post!
Hi Griz,
Your MMO blog at blogger for the first time ever I couldn’t find it on the serp 1st page using “MMO” phrase. Found it on 2nd page (17th). Could that be just my d.center?
That BC discussion made me LMAO but its kinda sad also as how so many people are being ripped off.
Can some one please tell Kevin and MX that Alexa ranks dont mean sh!t.

LMAO, Grizzly, I love you man.
Grizzly,
First off, I have to give credit to my friends at the WF for sending me to your blogs. Nice work, IMO. I have some adsense sites that follow your advice long before I found your advice. I am glad that someone actually takes time to post the truth about these things. You must build links and they have to have relevant anchor text. As to the idiots in that forum, thanks for the laugh. I hope you do this more often because it is quite entertaining. DUI attorney, sheesh…
TomG.
“Scott Baio has a small penis”…
ROFL – almost fell off my chair.
As expected a quick check of the Keyword Tool reports:
Not enough data
