Site Build It Review or wtf was yesterday’s post really all about.
I tell people I make money with Adsense by driving targeted search engine traffic to my sites. I explain how to rank on top of the search engines using anchored backlinks. I tell people that social traffic is useless for making money from Adsense.
My friends thank me for all this free info by posting screenshots on forums like Digital Point so that I get a flood of useless traffic and an avalanche of troll emails.
Why Forums are for Losers – What exactly don’t you understand?
I ask people if they would like to join a private forum and discuss topics that aren’t meant for public consumption. A week later a particularly useful network I mentioned is de-indexed. I guess I charged too much?
I ask people if they would like to be included in a little program I want to start. 374 people tell me they are “in“. I send them an email asking for a little info and tell them that they will have to help others. Everyone is fine with that.
Yesterday I asked them to help someone else. Site Build It Review
They responded with comments and emails telling me they don’t agree with what I’m doing. They want to know why I’m not being constructive? They want to know why I’m wasting their time? They want to know why I’m not posting about the “I’m In” program. They want to know why I am trying to replace a serp page full of useless affiliate reviews with a page full of real reviews for a program that is outdated, unnecessary and relieves noobs of $300 a year just for a website. They want to know how to get ranked in the serp’s themselves – can I show them how? Basically all I read in the comments (I deleted all of them) was why was I wasting their time instead of helping them. Of course they were right – there was nothing in yesterdays post that could teach them how to rank on top of the serp’s. Nothing that would lead them to think that helping others might just be the way to making money online. There was nothing in it for them. And that is a good lesson learned. It’s nice to know just how much people appreciate all the free legit info I have handed out over the past two years.
Btw – Lissie is now ranking on page 1 for Site Build It Scam and will see some traffic on her blog. Of course this isn’t what I’m about… or what I try and teach people or what people want me to help them with. Noooooo…
374 people are “IN“… nope, I don’t think so.
Not surprising the regular crew of friends who are in this to succeed didn’t let me down. They came through, they always do and they once again showed why they are succeeding in this business. Everyone created a legit post that was fair and balanced – far more useful for searchers interested in SBI than any of the fake reviews. (and yet some of you thought this was wrong?) They showed their creativity in working it into their existing sites – related or not. I was also impressed with a couple of newcomers who took the time to create a new lens or blog just for the occasion.
So let me ask everyone – if you were me, who would you spend your limited amount of time helping? Who would you trust? Should I continue to help all those people who email me regularly with questions who didn’t lift a finger to help someone else? What would you say to the people who email me the most asking me for help and had the nerve to complain about my post?
I’m not vindictive or bitter – just a bit relieved. I will continue to post useful info in my blogs.
To my friends – thanks and you know who you are. (RT, Trent and a few others – you’ve always been in and don’t sweat it – I never filled you in) You will be hearing from me.

Dang you Grizz, I now have a MMO blog ha ha.
Griz
Wow ! I just read your post (but not all the comments – it’s late and I been busy tracking wolves ! – all the way up to the frozen north oooooooo and all around the igloos) and I was shocked – I don’t wish to be rude as it’s not really any of my affair, so I won’t be, but I’m shocked all the same – VicW
Ok I think we all need a bat phone for these types of things. Maybe grizz can get a big bear spotlight for the call to action, lol. Some of us are just too slow to react without getting hit square in the face.
Anyways better late than never.
Gotafish
Hey,
I have resisted the urge to say “I’m in” precisely because my life is so darn busy. After all, I figured if I couldn’t put my full attention to it it wouldn’t be fair to ask you for help.
Lately work situations have changed and if there is any room left, I would love to be ‘in’. Of course, if you are maxed out, I will just continue to read all this info you give for free and try to follow your advice a little better so I can actually make some money here

Hey Griz-
Just wanted to say keep up the good work, and helping others. As a new guy to all of this, this whole debacle sure illustrates even more how SEO marketing works.
Very interesting. I do agree that for the most part, most people see free information as ‘worthless’. You take that same info and ‘package’ it (via services, products, etc), and they practically beg you for it.
It’s amazing what the ‘free’ illusion do for most, who could be taking all of this information for free and doing the same as someone who just paid for the info.
And so I also sat on the outside, looking into the software discussion.
Seems SBI! is good for whoever likes it. $300 per year sounds like a lot, but I guess if you are making $200,000 per year, that $300 would be a drop in the bucket. ??
Also, are there any free high-quality autoresponders? Or do you have to pay for the best at like $24 – $29/month? That’s almost the cost of that SBI software itself (sounds like – I’m not here to publicly make claims about products I am not deeply experienced with).
Anyway, if they include the auto-responder, that might be a deal, and cheaper in the long run.
I know that I’d much rather pay my maid $300 per month to do exactly what *I* could do at home for free.
Don’t let this all get to you guys; it’s such a small part of life.

Thomas,
You might want to check out “getresponse free” (google that phrase). You can start with the free version and then as your needs expand you can upgrade to the pro version without loosing your mailing list. From what I understand it’s also one of the best out there, but you might want to confirm that with the vets.

Hi Griz
Long-time reader, first-time poster.
Have been dabbling in Internet Marketing since 2003 and almost bought SBI.
Stumbled across your blog a few months ago, and I have to say, you’ve completely changed my mindset.
I would ask to “count me in”, but I’m still building my portfolio.
Cheers mate.
I’m so far behind that I totally missed this until now. I probably won’t jump in at this late stage, but totally respect your position – as many others have already said, it’s great that people such as you and Vic stand up and try to shine some light on some of the crap out there… Make less crap for people to step in.
RT, if you read this, you’ll be happy to know I’m in the positive now! Still got to get cracking with it though…
I think when Griz was talking about the “I’m in” it was in reference to the project Griz was undertaking on the post below on March 2nd.
http://makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com/2009/03/make-money-with-adsense-february-income.html
Heya NZ SEO,
Your name caught my eye as I’m in Devonport Auckland. Small world.
IMHO -I guess the way I see it. Between Vic’s complaints about people don’t appreciate free,
Griz recent post and Justin’s expression feeling somewhat taken advantage of people who didn’t get the hint that what is being offered is “free” and their appears to be a sense of entitlement.
Of course, I am a long time reader of his and I could be Jaded with the requests I see that he receives. This was not directed at anyone..These are my thoughts out loud.
Lissie here – hi fellow Kiwi’s I am from Wellington originally – I guess we will have NZ SEO tied up between us!
Lissie!
Great to meet another Kiwi here! Are you Oz based now? I think I got that impression from your blog. I’ll fire you an email shortly.
I left a comment and somehow it ended up as a reply to another comment and that isn’t what I intended.
JoomlaBear and DennisJr, just do a search for my name in the comments and you’ll see it. I don’t want to repeat it.
[...] Grizzly, who gives away an unbelievable amount of free information got disgusted by the response he got from some individuals when he issued a call to action in response to a big Site Build It! fiasco. Many individuals that demanded he hold their hands and walk them through how to make a website and make money from it responded to his call to action by telling how wrong he was to do so. He finally felt the need to vent, and write a rant about how people don’t appreciate free Internet Marketing advice. [...]
Hey Griz this is out of subject, did you get my email? I saw a site that was “Grizlesque” so I want it to check if it was yours so I can send you some juice from a site I own.
Now in to the main subject. People are very self centered. There are few people who help online and in the real world. I mean, if people liked to help in the real world things would be different. Online the story is worst. People want to get rich fast and alone. A lot of them don’t even want to link to nobody thinking that their rankings will sink if they do. Even less they are willing to help somebody out. Will I make make money from helping? No. So what? Helping someone is not about making money is about giving other people a push to reach their dreams and perhaps make some friends in the way . Selfish people are doomed online especially those that refuse to help and just sit back and criticize what others do to help them succeed. That is what free is all about. You give something for free then everyone talks crap. You charge them then they are happy. Why? Because nobody likes to think that they where ripped off so if you sell them an overpriced product they are happy just because they refuse to accept that they where ripped off. In other words, people who pay have two choices either they say it was good of they think they were stupid. With free info people either are grateful, ask more free stuff of open their mouths and talk crap. Grateful is the less frequent of reactions. Option two and three are the most predominant reactions. Some old saying: Feed crows and they will eventually take your eyes out.
Since the local school band is practicing in front of my house and I can’t concentrate on what I need to be doing, I figured I’d come back and comment again.
Yes, the vast majority of people online have a mindset of “what can you do for me today?” They want everything from everyone and want to give nothing in return, not even courtesy links.
The most important thing to teach people is that if you help other people make money, other people (not necessarily the same people) will help you make money.
Right on RT. People don’t get the value of establishing good relationships. There are a lot of variables in the equation. Not just gimme gimme. But what you say is true people that help are not necessary the ones you are helping. There is always people that watch around and see what you do and offer themselves to help without asking for anything.
Hey RT,
Added you to my blogroll on my new blog. Also wrote a post about giving away free advice online.
The frustrating part is give an inch and people want a mile.
I ran a successful hosting company and I would offer free SEO advice that was solid for the time(4 years ago anything worked). People would take my advice, do well traffic wise and come back to me to talk about the products they bought that helped them when all they did was follow my advice. They didn’t do it because I helped them, but rather because some product told them to do it.
Hey Derrick,
Send me an email at richardtcunningham@gmail.com — I want to make sure which Derrick I’m working with (I know 3).
RT,
Probably the wrong place to be discussing this (sorry Griz), but this is one of the things I’ve struggled with over at CC.
CC’s great for the vast majority of links I give, but it feels strange when it comes to people I already know. It’s a bit weird claiming backlinks in the system when I would have given them anyway – though I have done it (when I see the perfect term, then realise it’s you, or K, or someone else I know).
I still give links outside the system, but this happens less often because of a change of focus. Not a criticism of CC in anyway, just an observation that’s been on my mind a while.
Right. It’s difficult to draw the line between what you would normally do and what you’re prompted to do. You should use the system as much as possible even if it’s something you would normally do so you can get links from people you don’t know. Every little bit helps.
Yes, I guess that make sense. Probably common sense: use the system when there’s a link that fits my content, but still link outside the system if there’s something I want to link to that’s not in the system.
Not thinking too clearly right now, 2 weeks to baby no2 and I’m spread a bit thin…
Hey Archie – nope, not mine. There are a lot of similar looking sites to my “Griz” blogs these days… not sure how that happened? Lol
A hint – most of mine don’t look like the MMOFB blog, I’ve kept my public sites pretty much the same as the MMOFB blog but that theme is different from my network sites. (they all don’t look the same either – not wise to use the same look for everything as they tend to link to each other and identical themes will give away the farm – literally. The sites are supposed to be owned by others…
)
LOL oh ok at least it has to be one of your readers. That webmaster has to be making some good money with that site at least until summer
. But checking just in case it was yours. By the way I am learning this farming stuff and it rules. Will try niche support when I write more content for the sites and do some AM and link building so they have some juice to share.
Did you none of you figure it out? I haven’t been about making money online at all! My real passion is travel and I now have an enormous list of people to visit all over the world – most of whom will let me stay for FREE! Phillippines, Canadian wilderness (hope that’s a luxury lodge!), Malaysia south of Spain. OK it doesn’t always work out – Detroit wasn’t on my initial list – but hey this is a cool way to find news places to visit – Detroit may be the world’s most under-rated tourist destination!
LMAO!
Hey Lis
Feel free to add Antigua to your list
Cool added definitly!
I knew that and what I wrote earlier had nothing to do you specifically (I just wanted to clarify that).
Hey, Griz, thanks for the enlightenment. A little SEO tai chi, moving rhythmically together towards a singular goal. Neat!
I’d read your words on community, and understood them intellectually, but being part of this ocean wave in motion really brought my understanding home.
Just have to tell you Grizz…this has been a brilliant exercise.
Hey, I agreed with your earlier comment about the worth of CC. I appreciate all of the work RT has put into it…so I did something about it over at SEO4SMB. Every little bit helps
I’m down with that too.
RT rocks.
Did the same over at http://bestseosoftwareformac.blogspot.com/... managed to pop in a SEO as well
Jim
PS – Live and Learn
Grizz,
Or anyone. I think I know the answer to this. Is it possible to rank for someones name on a blog and never have their name appear on the blog. For instance, if I put anchored links back to a blog which describes how someone is a scumbag but never have their name actually appear anywhere on the blog.? (use the persons name on other blogs to comment etc)
So, if I searched for “Grizzly M Brears” in G had 20-30 back links pointing to a defamatory blog is it possible the blog would be identified as being related even though grizzly’s name never actually appears on the blog?
Ya know something like if my neighbor is a piece of crap that calls the county/township inspector on everything like a water hose being outside or my grill blocking his view.
BTW he would be a lawyer so you see the relevance of not having the name anywhere on the blog? Just wondering. ;o)
I didn’t bother reading all the comments ( at least not yet)
I did want to say that after reading your post on make money for beginners I went to lissie’s site and read her article on the Site Build It scam. I even left a comment that I wasn’t in 100 % agreement with her assessment. Then I went to my own blog and wrote a post. Now I will admit that her article got me to thinking I might could rank myself. And I’m not even one of the “Chosen Ones” .. I just feel as much as you have given me, there is no reason for me to question your motives.
Hey Griz,
I just wanted to let you know I made $4 yesterday on a 3 week old blogger blog I set up as per your instructions. Thank you so much for the help. I know $4 isn’t much but it is the best I have ever done in that length of time. Gotta go start another blog now.
Thanks
Hey Griz,
Just wanted to put in a few words here. This is the first I have seen of this post because I have been out of town for almost a week and have been working on a friends laptop for a few minutes here and there whenever I get a chance.
I, for one, am very glad you did what you did with helping lissie. I would have certainly joined in but like I said I am out of town and I didn’t even see any of it until a few days after it all started. I figured I missed the boat. Plus, the little time I have been able to get online I have been swamped with things to do.
I was going to stay out of it since it was seemingly dying down by the time I got to it but I couldn’t help myself so I did throw a comment in on the post this morning, but I don’t think it has been published yet.
Even though you don’t want people posting about you on forums, I just couldn’t help myself in putting in my two cents on the DP thread you mentioned above.
You know I appreciate everything you do for all your readers. You’ve helped me a ton and I could never thank you enough! As you know, I’ve been making money online for a long time and in all those years I never came across anyone as helpful and real as you are. You also led me to Vic and Court who are both great too.
If there is ever anything you need you can always ask me and I will do everything in my power to help. You know my email address and several of my sites where you can find me. An email or comment from you always goes to the top of the list.
Talk to you soon my friend.
~ Trent
Right on! Been reading your stuff all day, Tomorrow will be time to get to work converting to your ideas. Thanks for your blogs I am hooked. I dumped all the other crap that I was following up to today because I am stuck in the $10 a month crowd. At least now I can see the reasoning behind the failure so far.
Griz,
I really hope you don’t get bitter and quit. Personally I really appreciate what you’re doing. Like I mentioned before — you are the only reason I started making some money online… I’d love to send links, but my niche is so outside of MMO that I can’t find any way to link (I write about women’s cosmetics…
), I feel like a total noob in MMO and never actually write about it — I have nothing new or interesting to say. But heck, if you have cosmetics sites, I’ll link in an instant, just give me a shout
By the way, I never said “I’m in” cause you specified that it for select people you know, and I felt that I haven’t earned that privilege.
I feel really dumb, cause I do want to tell you thanks and help, but I can’t figure out how…
Griz
I have long suspected that having to put up with the antics of mean spirited and stupid people is part of the price of success.
Were it not for the fact that so much of the “competition” (both online and in the real world) appears to be spectacularly idle, ignorant and/or self-obsessed I’m sure I would find it a whole lot tougher to carve out a comfortably padded life for myself and those I care about.
And I’m sure that, once you’ve simmered down, you’ll perhaps agree that you would too. Brush it off and remember that for every blowhard oaf constantly getting in your face there are many more who have been quietly acting on your generous advice and doing very nicely as a consequence. We owe you – and we are not the sort to forget that fact either.
Apologies for the hopelessly late as ever contribution – I really must spend more time browsing blogs
Kat
Hi Griz,
Three things
First, what is that little program you were referring to?
Second, I could not send a link to Liz’s post as I was a part of the SBI scam, I wanted to deleat my post about SBI but could not remember where actually I have posted it
and could not find it upon searching for two days. All I could do is give a link from one of my hubpages post.
Third, I have just started to follow you teachings seriously. All these days i thought volume blogging would be the easy way to make money but it took me nowhere.
Hi Griz,
That was really valuable contents from you. I benefited a lot from here…and I’m sure everyone does.
Regards,
Dan
Now that everyone has finally realised [international spelling] that anchored backlinking really works, you should now all go and join RT’s ConnectContent.
If you are impressed with what you’ve seen happen for Lissie, and you want a slice of the linking action for yourself, then CC is the answer, at least in my opinion.
CC actually tracks the links you have given and received and rewards people who have given out a higher ratio of links. These users then gain backlinks faster.
It is a system that is very fair to all – the links you give WILL be rewarded by someone linking back to one of your sites with the anchor text YOU chose.
Seriously people, if you have been mulling over whether or not it’s worth it then take my advice and take the plunge, compare the $12 per month to other link building networks which charge $140+ per month. The fee is just a token of appreciation really to RT who has a full time job keeping it all going. The man’s a legend.
Why am I such a staunch advocate? because it works, because it’s fair, and because we need you.
CC members number in the hundreds presently and the more people we have, the greater the diversity of sites and the wider the network of links. I’d like to see the membership grow to 1000, then we’ll be unstoppable.
CC is fair because when you give a link it is tracked by the system and will not go forgotten – you will get a link back in return from someone else in due course, and this WILL help you rank.
If you want to read some of my experiences you can find them on my blog. CC has helped me move one of my main sites from page 8 to page 2 of google in a matter of 6 weeks. When I reach the top of page one there are 2000+ unique visitors per day who will be coming to me for a high value keyword that converts very well for me at around $15.
Like they say on the Nike ad – Just do it.
As a long time (well, as long as it’s been running) member of RT’s ConnectContent I’ll second Joomla Template Bear. Dunno how else I would have gotten such a rich variety of perfectly targeted keywords (I get to nominate anchor text and url combinations – it doesn’t get much better than that).
Venkat, what can I say? One of my niches has a whopping 4 posts (admittedly each over 2,000 words long) but it sits high on Google page 1 for a number of long tails that bring in about 200 searchers per day. The CTR averages 10% and clicks about 30 cents each – nothing spectacular, but then I’ve done nothing with it for 3 months except collect backlinks via CC. It quietly makes ((200*30)/10)*.30 = $180 per month, and is steadily growing, while I completely ignore it and get on with developing more promising niches.
Griz couldn’t lay this out any simpler, in fact he makes “painting by numbers” look intellectually demanding. Just start doing what he advocates and don’t think too hard about it – understanding will follow soon enough.
Nicely put KulekKat, I’m working in much the same way – I haven’t quite hit Griz’s heights yet but I’m not finding it difficult to set up sites that sit in the $5-10 a day region, and you don’t need many of those to eek out a living. My top performer is around $700 this month.
I agree at : Most of people don’t respect free stuff…
while how to making money online is actually free information that we can find on the internet…
But we still have to charge some amount of money for that information, so they will respect on that information…
Best Regards,
Lemy
KuleKat, yes the Griz system works, it took me a while to change my bloggign habits.
Wow Joomla, I would quit my day job if I have one blog like your top performer.
Griz – I have a message I want to pass to you, Vic, Justin, Court and other online mentors I’ve been lurking around but seldom bothered to comment to (other than singing your praises on one of my blogs) and that is this… though you may encounter 100 thankless s.o.b.’s with nothing better to do with their time than to criticize you for providing quality, free information, the majority who follow you and genuinely appreciate what you do hold you in such high regard that you simply MUST continue plugging on.
The bunch of you represent islands of sanity and truth online for many of us just beginning in internet marketing. More importantly, you are beacons of hope for those of us who have taken hard hits in this economy and who are desperate to find a way out from under their bosses (or the unemployment department where my folding company will soon be putting me) and into a world of financial freedom through internet marketing.
I beg you, don’t let a few sour grapes blind you to those of us who not only value your free help, but who really need you in some very tough economic times. Don’t let their attitude discourage you in the least!
If you quit helping us tomorrow, you will still have earned sainthood from my perspective, but just know that there are MANY more of us out there who will always value what you have done for us than those selfish but vocal few who question your every motive.
Dave
Venkat,
I have quit my day job
It’s a struggle though.
To be honest I’ve had a couple of record months, Jan was absolutely awful and I was staring at $3 in my adsense report on one day… (recession and post xmas lack of spending I guess, though Grizz had a good month…)
Feb was better and March better still with my top performer doing $25-30 a day.
I’ve been following Griz since maybe Dec 2007 I think and it took at least 6 months for any of my sites to start making any real $. So my advice to anyone who is feeling slightly disillusioned with small profits is stick at it. It does take time but it’s well worth it.
And really, I’m in the nickel and dime category compared with sensei Griz. Still so far to go…
Joomla,
Thank you for the encouraging words. I have been trying to follow Griz for over a year now, but could not…I was confusion personified but not now, I have decided to stick to his methods strictly.
$15 a day would make me quit my day job comfortably, but my daughter’s admission into a good school is my first priority.
Grizz I think people do not appreciate FREE and god forbid work is involved!
lol Griz, did you delete that comment? I just got email notification and when I get here it’s vanished!
@Thomas,
On the topic of email responders – a lot of hosts offer 1 click install for phpList – which is the most popular open source option (free).
phpList will do autoresponders – if your host offers fantastico should see it in the list of installable apps. You can set it up in a sub directory of your main site, like mysite.com/newsletter/
If no fantastico then go to the phplist site and download free – follow instructions – not too tricky.
On the paid side a lot of the A list seem to use Aweber – I’m a junkie for quality free gear though.
Hi Grizzly
I read one of your blogs often and only just discovered this site.
I love the way you write, complete honesty…. love it.
I am gobsmacked that people have emailed you stating you are “wasting thier time”, what a joke. One thing i am trying to grow both online and offline is a thick skin….a MUST for this life. Mine is still growing…. s l o w l y.
Griz, I started reading your stuff late last year and I was hooked. I immediately put everything you give for free in your blogs into action by choosing a really small niche that I thought I could crack.
Take note I have been blogging for 6 years prior to stumbling into your ugly blogspot
. I have repeatedly tried monetizing my previous blogs to the point that I had become so jaded that I thought everything about MMO is a scam and thought nobody but a chosen few can really do it. I continued blogging as I just fell in love with it more and more regardless of whether I was making money out of it or not.
But when I found your blogger blog, I immediately set out to validate all your lessons. Now, into my fourth month of marketing that small niche, I’ve already earned double that of what I earned in my 6 years of blogging. It’s really amazing. How blinded was I all those years? I tell you it’s because of all that crap out there.
I had been working hard on that niche that I missed all this “I’m in” and much of the SBI action. I’m kind of bummed that I did as I failed a good chance to be included. On the other hand, I think if I was here to catch all this, I don’t think I would have had enough time to work on my sites and hence, would not have had anything to put on the table at all.
I don’t think many people are getting it. Free is actually a business model (sorry, Home Biz). It’s Grizzly’s business model! Although I was a bit panicked when I read the theme of this post, as it would be a dreadful day when you stopped teaching the noobs the right way to earning money online, I don’t think I’d see that day. I think you’d continue teaching us noobs for free until that grizzly coat turns white. Because that is how you make money online. You find a niche and stick to it like gecko.
I actually have sent you an email. As I suspect, with all the emails you must be receiving, it will be easily overlooked. I don’t really mind. But I do want to tell you that you’ve helped another one here. And someday, I hope to pay it forward and help someone, too, or a couple. or even many. I don’t think I’d go into the MMO just yet as I don’t have the resources and even the stomach for it yet (and all that free time answering comments). I understand why you’re asking noobs not to get into this niche at the start. What you guys did with that SBI Scam Review is amazing. Lizzie was brilliant.
BTW, do you guys know that the #1 for “dog training” is an SBI site? Who cares, right? I do. Because someday, I’ll beat the crap out of that site. hehehe. Lighten up, guys! SBI is a crappy program because it’s costing a lot of noobs who don’t know what they’re doing $300 each. That is that. Griz hates it because you don’t need to spend $300 to make money online. Talk about it on your blogs and get the traffic. I won’t. I’m just a small fry for now.
sigh. Griz, you’re getting all this free content while I’m struggling to come up with stuff to put on my sites.
Thank you very much for you time.
Thanks Sherwin – comments like that make this all worthwhile. Much appreciated – very much!
Hey Grizz. Just want to chime in my support for your efforts. You really go out of your way to provide free support. Your advice helped me go from page 10 to the first page, #5 for one of my niches. My earning have also doubled to about 5-8 bucks a day.
I’m currently putting your techniques into another 30 niche websites.
Thanks so much. If you ever need a hand or some links, just give me a shout!

Well howdie doodie. Man, I sure missed this party. I must have been asleep when it took place. I was around for the Lissie party though and thoroughly enjoyed it. While I didn’t post anything or create a blog on the subject I did go over and support her on her site and gave her a pat on the back for speaking her mind and having her say. Isn’t that called free speech or something I hear we have in this country. That really is what blogging is all about anyway. Sharing your opinion.
I just wanted to concur as I know all about the “takers” in my own niche. That, in fact, is the reason I started my most popular blog and the “takers” aren’t all too happy with me. They are charging for the same info I am giving away for free on my site. I sure do have a great loyal following already though and I am happy to teach whoever wants to learn.
Of course, my niche has nothing to do with making money although I did win $5,000 3 weeks ago so there is money to be made.
Just wanted to let you know that there will always be lots of takers and very few givers but they are out there.
Nice to see you Wendy – I’ve been meaning to blog about your blog making tips – It’s just been a hectic week. Hope things are going well.
Venkat,
Yes, this is all doable. I was making $1 a day when I first started and following the “A list” make money bloggers until I met Grizzly. I am now making a part-time living and have been doing it about 6 months.
I think I’ve got it figured out except the part about how to get tons of backlinks. I don’t have as many friends as Griz
I have been working with a small group of people and that’s good. Find yourself some friends and get cracking.
I’m glad to exchange links with just about anybody. Well, except the “haters and takers”.
Wendy
PS. Joomla – email me if you can trade for movie reviews. That’s my latest. Well, my son’s latest. Yes, we are growing money makers over here
I think don’t appreciate free because they don’t understand business + goodwill.
People seem to think that building a reputation is useless. However all the fortune 500 companies indulge in monthly events or even daily events to build up what is called in business “good will”. But, if you’re a noob and don’t know the first thing about business, never cracked open an entrepreneur book, never researched how to be successful at privately owned business then of course you’re going to say stupid stuff like “what’s in it for me?”
They have no clue that they are seeking to build up authority in the industry but don’t want to do things to make people think they are an authority in their niche.
