I encourage you to read it as he has seen some drastic improvements in the serps since he implemented his new site structure. It has to do with one of the main annoyances using these bloated WP themes. Bleeding too many links from each page. In general you want far more incoming links on each page (internal or external) than outgoing. These themes kill your juice percentage because of all the widget links – archives, tags, categories.
